Two short articles have appeared making reference to Poland’s progression at the 2008 edition of the Country Brands Index. The first article says the following:

Poland moved up the list in this year’s edition of the Country Brand Index (CBI) covering best value tourist destinations. It ranks fifth in the world in the Best Country Brand for Value for Money Category.

  1. Thailand
  2. India
  3. Mexico
  4. Czech Republic
  5. Poland

Poland made its debut as a Rising Star last year. Currently Poland is ahead of the United States, Malaysia, Turkey, South Africa and Hungary. Thailand ranked first. The Best Country Brand for Value for Money Category includes countries whose tourism offer is best as compared with the costs.

CBI encompasses rankings and trends, as well as country brand analysis, travel motivations and insights into the challenges and opportunities within the world of travel, tourism and country branding.

The CBI 2008 research was conducted by FutureBrand, a leading global brand consultancy, in conjunction with public relations firm Weber Shandwick’s Global Travel & Lifestyle Practice.
