Kate, you’re correct about Qantas’ name meaning, but what I meant is that its ‘Australianess’ is not immediately visible. As in KLM for the Dutch. How many non-Australians would guess Qantas is Australian by only looking at the name?

Andreas. To say that Qantas does not relate in any way to Australia is absurd. Do you know what it is an acronym for? Queensland (one of the largest Australian States) and Northern Territory (Australia has 6 States and 2 Territories and this is one of them) Aerial Services. Perhaps you should have checked this out.???

SAA are useless airlines. They are also fraudulent, they pick passengers through the worng routes and denied transit visa. The passengers had to return to Lagos without a refund of the ticket. SAA need to be prosecuted by EFCC for such transactions.
